Qualifications:
Registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario or eligibility for registration
Proficiency in Hematology, Transfusion Medicine, Chemistry, Microbiology, and Immunology
Minimum one-year experience as a general duty technologist preferred
General hospital experience is advantageous
Job Duties:
Perform general laboratory duties in Hematology, Transfusion Medicine, Microbiology, Chemistry, and Immunology departments
Procure and handle specimens
Flexible availability for shifts
Demonstrate reliability, competence, and professional responsibility
Adhere to organizational policies on infection control and PPE usage
Job Types: Full-time, Contract renewable
Contract Length: 6 months
Pay: $70.00 per hour
Schedule: 8-hour shifts

About the Role:
This position involves providing primary care and public health services within an integrated and accessible healthcare framework. Public health responsibilities include collaborative work with community members to identify health priorities, promote preventive measures, and address community health needs.
Requirements:
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
A minimum of 3000 hours of clinical experience obtained within the last 3 years.
Experience in performing complex tasks across a range of settings, including Primary/Acute/Intensive care, Urgent/Emergency care, or Community health (public health, home, and community care).
Education & Credentials:
Possession of a recognized Canadian Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Valid CNO license for Ontario in good standing.
Up-to-date certifications in:
Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers (Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or American Heart Association).
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and International Trauma Life Support (ITLS).
Valid class “G” or equivalent driver's license.
Mask-fit Tested.
WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System).
TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods).
Medical Clearance from the applicant’s primary care provider.
Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance/Background check.
